'Faces of Nippon' is an A5 full colour Japanese Portrait Photography Zine that is raising funds for Smile Kids Japan (www.smilekidsjapan.org). Smells Like Zines is not taking commission on these zines so all the money is going straight to kids that lost their families, homes and whole worlds after the recent tsunami and nuclear disaster.
'In mid 2010, I travelled to Japan and met many beautiful people. They fed me, showed me back alley bars, tattoo parlours and they gave me a place to crash at the end of the day. They introduced me to their communities. The recent disaster with earthquakes, tsunamis and nuclear plants is a tragedy.
